Pannonmill Rt was founded on 01 July 2004 by the merger of Hungaromill Rt Komárom, Pannon-Gabona Rt Győr, and Pannon-Borsod Kft Miskolc. As of 1 of July 2006, Pannonmill Takarmány Kft retired from the firm, and the joint stock company (Rt) had been transformed to a private joint stock company (Zrt). The Zrt performs milling and cereal trading activity, while the Kft in engaged in fodder production. PROFORG Rt, being in the 100% ownership of the company for several years engaged in milling and feed mixing, merged with Pannonmill Zrt as of 1 August 2008.
The 99.9% owner of Pannonmill Zrt is LLI-EUROMILLS Holding seated in Vienna.
The central office of the Pannonmill group is in Komárom, its plants and premises can be found in the Western part of the country, in seven counties.
We work with four mills, one premix plant and two feed mixing plants; buying up of crops takes place at 22 premises.
Our partners in production activities are mainly Hungarian entities but export also shows growing tendency.
Total sales revenues of the Pannonmill group amounted to 25 bnHUF in 2008 (in the business year between 01.10.2007 and 30.09.2008).
Total milling volume is 240 tons of wheat, being this 20% of the total milling capacity of Hungary. With this, the firm has became a market leader.
Fodder production is 75 thousand tons, dominantly sold through the free market.
The total number of employees of the Pannonmill group is 370.
Two major investment projects had been completed in 2004 and 2005. The mill in Komárom, having a 100-year history at that time, had been refurbished completely by means of the world leader Bühler technology from Switzerland, and a as the green-field investment at Csorna was constructed with the same technology. Simultaneously with the commissioning of the new generation mills 6 old mills had been closed down, and the concentration of the mill group was completed by that. The mill at Csorna had been expanded by 150t/24h capacity in 2008, thus the current capacity is 450t/24h.
With the merger of plants, the transformation and concentration of the fodder business started in 2006, as well.
At the end of 2003 a new branded product, the VITAMILL product family, was launched in the Hungarian market.
Due to concentration, the group owns significant industrial properties.
